So, guess what game for the PSP came out today? : D Guess who's going to be missing for the next two weeks or so while she's playing it?

I've been waiting for this game all summer! As soon as I saw an ad for it in the game store back around May/June, I knew I needed to start a Dissidia fund pronto (as I always do when I see a new game I want). I left the store buying nothing that day and promptly stashed the money I had in my pockets away in a secret location :] And it was SO worth it! The game is so much fun and the graphics are to die for~! I seriously nerdgasm'd every time I saw a cool fight cutscene OwO I nearly fainted when I saw Tidus flip around, and then Zidane grabbed onto his ankle with his tail, swung himself around, and shot himself forward! >w< That was AWESOME!

I really didn't think I was going to buy this game today since for some odd reason, the GameStop by my house doesn't get games in on the day they're supposed to be released (it happened with so many other games I was looking forward to- Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus was one of them. It came in like three days after they said it was going to be out). And I'm also not too crazy about the GameStop around where I live because the sales guys always give me such a strange vibe :< Like, when I'm around them, I want to get out of there as fast as I can because it feels like they're staring and whispering or snickering at me or something x.x I dunno, maybe it's just me and my stupid paranoia. But either way, I don't like the feelings they give me @.@ They make me feel really uncomfortable. I'd rather go to the other GameStop I frequent (which is too far away and I can't drive yet T ^T ). I like the sales people there a lot more ^.^ They're really friendly~

So enough digressing. How is Dissidia, you may ask? Let me put it to you this way. I don't know why the hell I'm here instead of on my PSP, kicking the Chaos alliance's butt! (Okay, my hands are a bit cramped right now >.> That's what happens when you have such a small controller for an intense game that requires fast finger movement). That's right, I chose the Cosmos alliance! I know I like Kuja, but the other team has Ziddles, Tidus, Firion, Bartz, and the Warrior of Light! *w* I cannot resist them! So far, I'm not so good at this game x.x But that's because I'm just starting out! It takes a while to get a hang of the battle system and button combos and all the tricks. Sometimes the battles get really fast and it's tricky to decide what to do next. It's like my mind is racing and shouting "Attack! No, defend! DODGE! DODGE! Don't let him hit you! THERE! An opening! Snatch his bravery right now! NOW! ATTACK! ATTAAAACK! Dodge! NO! Don't fall there! GAH! GRAB THAT BELL THING! Use your ultimate attack! NOOOOO! THAT STUPID APE GOT IT FIRST! FFFFFFFF-!", but this is all being said within the three seconds that little moment is going on. It's really fast paced if you get close to your enemy, but that's what I love I like being kept on my toes sometimes. It's such a thrill!

I tried story mode at first, but I had a bit of trouble, so I'm currently practicing under Arcade Mode to get into the swing of things! I'm also trying out quick battle mode to get a feel of who may be my strong players. The bonus to this mode is that not only can you choose the stage you're fighting on, you can choose the music that plays, too! That's a plus because all of the music in this game is beautiful and I can play a song that really pumps me up, helping me bring out the true strength of the one I'm testing >w< So far, my favorite person to use in battle is Tidus. I thought it would be Zidane (because I love that little monkey boy!), but Tidus is just so athletic and nimble, he's a lot easier to maneuver in battle. I also like that flippy move he does for his ultimate attack~ That's another thing! I love the ultimate attacks! With the people I've used so far, the ultimate attacks are the same as they are in each of the character's respective games >w< That makes it all the more fun~ And like all of the other attacks in this game, you need to be fast with your fingers to pull it off! I also like using Bartz >w< His spinny attack is just so much fun to use! It's like a sparkly blender *.*

I haven't used many bad guys in battle yet, but I DID try Kuja out because I just couldn't resist. He's just so pretty and strong! I'm addicted to making him go into his trance mode XD I love all of those lovely red feathers and that conceited attitude on his face. When you're going against it, you'll hate it, but when it's on your side, there's nothing that'll stop you from achieving perfect victory. You can just feel it.

The voice acting for this game really isn't all that bad :3 The characters really sound how I expected them to, but I think a couple of characters changed their voice. Is it me or does Tidus sound different? o.o Maybe it's just me... I did expect Kuja's voice to be a bit more elegant and confident, yet flamboyant because of his personality and the way he's carries himself, but I'm not disappointed with the way it is now. It'll just take some getting used to :3 And Kefka? Shut. The hell. Up. I hate that guy and his stupid voice DX No, I don't hate the voice acting since it's pretty much how I thought it would be, but I hate hearing that cackle when he knocks me down ; ^; Stupid fail clown.

It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, but gravity is nonexistent in this game >.> But every Final Fantasy fan knows that physics has no place in that world. I've been playing this game for four hours now and I think I've had my character stand on the ground for a good minute and a half if you combine all of those standstill moments together. Nobody can fly in Final Fantasy (well, Kuja sort of hovers and Sephiroth doesn't count because he's only flying with one wing- I don't even know how he does that. It's like paddling a rowboat with one oar), but while fighting, everybody is a freakin' acrobat. I love it! XD

Oh! And did you know that the cover of the game on the game's box is reversible? OwO It is! You can flip it over to have the bad guys on the front instead of the good guys! I thought that was so cool when I found out about it XD Just thought I'd put that out there for those who care >.>

Okay, now that I'm done with reporting about my newest love, time to get down to another matter of business.

Around a little over a month ago, my house computer lost its internet access for some odd reason and because of that, I haven't been able to submit any new works of art because the scanner is hooked up to it x.x And no internet = no transferring artwork onto photobucket, where I then move it onto my laptop and place it here. I CAN move it onto a CD-ROM or a something to just move it to my laptop that way, but I don't have any spares hanging around that isn't already filled with something. I was able to fix my main computer a few times since I did submit some new stuff a couple of days ago, but now it's completely dead. Nothing I do works anymore :< We're having a technician come in soon, however (since I need my home computer for my school stuff), so let's hope things'll be all good soon :3 Once everything is back up and running, I'm going to town with posting these drawings of mine! XD

Anyway, so school starts in a week, which means the shackles shall claim me once more DX *DESPAIR* Can you tell I'm that excited about it? I'm really not...I told my mom about how I'm dreading this day and she told me "Ah, don't worry about it. You shouldn't even be thinking about school until next Tuesday night. Then you start stressing out while rushing to put your bag together" XD I love her so much. What I am happy about is that I'm only in school for like a couple of hours and then I'm free for the rest of the day. At least I'll get some me time...right? [: *hopes so* I'm trying to become a psychology major (though I don't really like people, I sometimes find their behavior fascinating) so I'm taking a couple of psychology classes I'm a bit excited about. The one I'm looking forward to is the child psychology class. That sounds like it's going to be fun~ Let's hope the professor isn't a total jerk. I've had enough of those jerk professors x.x I'm also continuing my japanese classes! :3 Though I'm a bit nervous about that since my professor told us to study our katakana and some kanji over the break and my japanese textbooks sort of has spiderwebs all over the pages... >.> B-But I did play Okami and Persona 4 and I was able to read some of the symbols and words scattered around the game, so that sort of counts for something, right? D: RIGHT?

Anyway, I also need to get to work on the ideas I have scribbled down on my ideas page! Even though I haven't been drawing or writing any fanfiction, I have been keeping a page of ideas where I write down all of the story/picture ideas as I've been getting them in class/at home. A good portion of the new ideas are either for a sprite comic I'm starting called "Our Hellish Home" (I may post that here, but I'm not certain yet), character pictures from the fanfiction-in-the-making by , or some Devil May Cry fun I've been dying to do~ I would elaborate, but I believe my pictures shall do the talking for me pretty soon ;3 All I will say, though, is to prepare for some cuteness! Oh! There are other ideas that I really, REALLY want to do since the images have been stuck in my head for the longest, so look forward to those too. They're mostly one-shot characters, but some character designs from a VERY old fanfiction of mine I'm looking to revive. Anyway, I'm looking to buy some new art supplies since I'm not too happy with the supplies I have now, so I'm going to be very busy this weekend both shopping and drawing!

On another note, another thing I shall be busy with is gaming. Since I've finished classes, I have more time to play the video games I've been buying over the semester! These games include The Darkness, Bioshock, Persona 3 and 4, Nocturne, Animal Crossing: City Folk,and the infamous Ace Attorney series. I've actually become VERY obsessed with the Ace Attorney series and I seriously can't put that DS down until I've solved a case! I have also officially become an Edgeworth fangirl because of it~ He's just so cool! Even though he annoys me with his constant objections and whatnot, I still love him and the way he takes that lovely bow~ I've also taken a liking to Detective Gumshoe :3 He's just too funny! Wright is pretty cool too, but I prefer his younger self (when he was in love with Dollie Hawthorne) >w< All of the characters in the series are truly brilliant! I highly recommend this series to anybody with a DS!

***WARNING: A few spoilers about Persona 4 are ahead! Please don't read this entry if you don't want to spoil anything past meeting Risette/Rise-chan!***

Hello! My name is M and I am a Persona-holic. Not that I mind, though ;3 Persona 4 is one of the best games I have EVER played! It's so very addicting! I spent all of last weekend playing and I've gotten a heck of a lot farther x.x I love Persona 3 (I haven't finished it yet, so nobody say anything about the ending!), but I like this game a whole lot more.

On Friday, I finally defeated Kanji's shadow after a ton of training and planning x.x The guy's shadow was a headache! My body was all stiff when it was over! I was in such a trance the entire time, I didn't notice that half an hour went by and I haven't changed my sitting position one bit. My knees were sore (and they still are since I continue to walk with a limp), both of my arms were numb, and my feet had fallen asleep. But it was over. I was the victor! Oh yeah! >w< Mini-wave in celebration of me!

I was afraid I was going to die throughout the whole battle. Normally I let the characters do the fighting on their own since they're not half bad, but I needed some of them to use certain attacks that they just weren't doing, so I had to take temporary control of everyone. The strategy was kind of straight forward until I had Kanji's shadow on its knees; then things got scary. I have never been poisoned up until that point, so I had practically NO antidotes on me at all. My character (who I named Nate) had to suffer the status ailment while I cured everybody else by letting them die, then bringing them back with a revival bead. Too bad I couldn't do the same for Nate...When he dies, it's game over. Once I saw that Kanji's shadow was not going to stop using his strongest attack and my team couldn't weather another storm, I put all of my faith into my final strike and thank goodness it worked! Kanji was defeated and I did my happy dance (and then swiftly fell over onto my bed because my knees were all sore and my feet had no feeling).

Even though Kanji's shadow was...entertaining, I felt bad for the guy...He may look tough and scary, but he's really a kind guy at heart. I could understand how he was feeling and I could also understand why he rejected his shadow. I mean, he had a bunch of strange people watching while his flamboyant shadow self was revealing Kanji's true feelings of his fear of being rejected, especially by women. Who would admit do that without a fight? I'm glad it was all resolved, though. Makes me wonder if Kanji really is gay. Though after the hilarious school camp-out, I'm beginning to think he may be bi XD I laughed when he got that nosebleed after seeing Yukiko in a bathing suit. He looked so innocent, too! Like he was sort of embarrassed and shocked that he was reacting in such a way. He even tried to hide it! Poor guy...He totally didn't deserve being pushed into the river for that.

Kanji is extremely adorable! I love him so much! He likes sewing and painting, yet he could take out a whole biker gang BY HIMSELF! How epic is that?! He's so cool! >w< What I love most about him, however, is his innocence. He's not the stereotypical tough guy who's usually some sort of pervert. He's kind, though brutish, and really wants to help out in solving these murders. He's very shy around girls since he's afraid they're going to judge him for the things he likes, so he prefers being around guys. I really found it cute when he spoke about meeting Naoto and how he blushed when he mentioned that when he and Naoto were speaking in the past, he accidentally blurted out how he wanted to see him again. Thus, he believed he may have been attracted to men, not women. Little does Kanji know that Naoto is a woman! I'm really looking forward to when he finds this little fact out!

Most people find Kanji too funny-looking to be cute, but I can't help but find myself attracted to this guy. However, I think I have found the reason behind this and I shall show you. So yeah, I'm obsessed with Persona 4 now, so expect to hear a bunch more about it in future entries as I move on in the game. I'm also thinking about doing some fan art! But that's only if my schedule allows me to. Anyway, that's all for now. Later~!
