So, guess what game for the PSP came out today? : D Guess who's going to be missing for the next two weeks or so while she's playing it?

I've been waiting for this game all summer! As soon as I saw an ad for it in the game store back around May/June, I knew I needed to start a Dissidia fund pronto (as I always do when I see a new game I want). I left the store buying nothing that day and promptly stashed the money I had in my pockets away in a secret location :] And it was SO worth it! The game is so much fun and the graphics are to die for~! I seriously nerdgasm'd every time I saw a cool fight cutscene OwO I nearly fainted when I saw Tidus flip around, and then Zidane grabbed onto his ankle with his tail, swung himself around, and shot himself forward! >w< That was AWESOME!

I really didn't think I was going to buy this game today since for some odd reason, the GameStop by my house doesn't get games in on the day they're supposed to be released (it happened with so many other games I was looking forward to- Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus was one of them. It came in like three days after they said it was going to be out). And I'm also not too crazy about the GameStop around where I live because the sales guys always give me such a strange vibe :< Like, when I'm around them, I want to get out of there as fast as I can because it feels like they're staring and whispering or snickering at me or something x.x I dunno, maybe it's just me and my stupid paranoia. But either way, I don't like the feelings they give me @.@ They make me feel really uncomfortable. I'd rather go to the other GameStop I frequent (which is too far away and I can't drive yet T ^T ). I like the sales people there a lot more ^.^ They're really friendly~

So enough digressing. How is Dissidia, you may ask? Let me put it to you this way. I don't know why the hell I'm here instead of on my PSP, kicking the Chaos alliance's butt! (Okay, my hands are a bit cramped right now >.> That's what happens when you have such a small controller for an intense game that requires fast finger movement). That's right, I chose the Cosmos alliance! I know I like Kuja, but the other team has Ziddles, Tidus, Firion, Bartz, and the Warrior of Light! *w* I cannot resist them! So far, I'm not so good at this game x.x But that's because I'm just starting out! It takes a while to get a hang of the battle system and button combos and all the tricks. Sometimes the battles get really fast and it's tricky to decide what to do next. It's like my mind is racing and shouting "Attack! No, defend! DODGE! DODGE! Don't let him hit you! THERE! An opening! Snatch his bravery right now! NOW! ATTACK! ATTAAAACK! Dodge! NO! Don't fall there! GAH! GRAB THAT BELL THING! Use your ultimate attack! NOOOOO! THAT STUPID APE GOT IT FIRST! FFFFFFFF-!", but this is all being said within the three seconds that little moment is going on. It's really fast paced if you get close to your enemy, but that's what I love I like being kept on my toes sometimes. It's such a thrill!

I tried story mode at first, but I had a bit of trouble, so I'm currently practicing under Arcade Mode to get into the swing of things! I'm also trying out quick battle mode to get a feel of who may be my strong players. The bonus to this mode is that not only can you choose the stage you're fighting on, you can choose the music that plays, too! That's a plus because all of the music in this game is beautiful and I can play a song that really pumps me up, helping me bring out the true strength of the one I'm testing >w< So far, my favorite person to use in battle is Tidus. I thought it would be Zidane (because I love that little monkey boy!), but Tidus is just so athletic and nimble, he's a lot easier to maneuver in battle. I also like that flippy move he does for his ultimate attack~ That's another thing! I love the ultimate attacks! With the people I've used so far, the ultimate attacks are the same as they are in each of the character's respective games >w< That makes it all the more fun~ And like all of the other attacks in this game, you need to be fast with your fingers to pull it off! I also like using Bartz >w< His spinny attack is just so much fun to use! It's like a sparkly blender *.*

I haven't used many bad guys in battle yet, but I DID try Kuja out because I just couldn't resist. He's just so pretty and strong! I'm addicted to making him go into his trance mode XD I love all of those lovely red feathers and that conceited attitude on his face. When you're going against it, you'll hate it, but when it's on your side, there's nothing that'll stop you from achieving perfect victory. You can just feel it.

The voice acting for this game really isn't all that bad :3 The characters really sound how I expected them to, but I think a couple of characters changed their voice. Is it me or does Tidus sound different? o.o Maybe it's just me... I did expect Kuja's voice to be a bit more elegant and confident, yet flamboyant because of his personality and the way he's carries himself, but I'm not disappointed with the way it is now. It'll just take some getting used to :3 And Kefka? Shut. The hell. Up. I hate that guy and his stupid voice DX No, I don't hate the voice acting since it's pretty much how I thought it would be, but I hate hearing that cackle when he knocks me down ; ^; Stupid fail clown.

It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, but gravity is nonexistent in this game >.> But every Final Fantasy fan knows that physics has no place in that world. I've been playing this game for four hours now and I think I've had my character stand on the ground for a good minute and a half if you combine all of those standstill moments together. Nobody can fly in Final Fantasy (well, Kuja sort of hovers and Sephiroth doesn't count because he's only flying with one wing- I don't even know how he does that. It's like paddling a rowboat with one oar), but while fighting, everybody is a freakin' acrobat. I love it! XD

Oh! And did you know that the cover of the game on the game's box is reversible? OwO It is! You can flip it over to have the bad guys on the front instead of the good guys! I thought that was so cool when I found out about it XD Just thought I'd put that out there for those who care >.>

Okay, now that I'm done with reporting about my newest love, time to get down to another matter of business.

Around a little over a month ago, my house computer lost its internet access for some odd reason and because of that, I haven't been able to submit any new works of art because the scanner is hooked up to it x.x And no internet = no transferring artwork onto photobucket, where I then move it onto my laptop and place it here. I CAN move it onto a CD-ROM or a something to just move it to my laptop that way, but I don't have any spares hanging around that isn't already filled with something. I was able to fix my main computer a few times since I did submit some new stuff a couple of days ago, but now it's completely dead. Nothing I do works anymore :< We're having a technician come in soon, however (since I need my home computer for my school stuff), so let's hope things'll be all good soon :3 Once everything is back up and running, I'm going to town with posting these drawings of mine! XD

Anyway, so school starts in a week, which means the shackles shall claim me once more DX *DESPAIR* Can you tell I'm that excited about it? I'm really not...I told my mom about how I'm dreading this day and she told me "Ah, don't worry about it. You shouldn't even be thinking about school until next Tuesday night. Then you start stressing out while rushing to put your bag together" XD I love her so much. What I am happy about is that I'm only in school for like a couple of hours and then I'm free for the rest of the day. At least I'll get some me time...right? [: *hopes so* I'm trying to become a psychology major (though I don't really like people, I sometimes find their behavior fascinating) so I'm taking a couple of psychology classes I'm a bit excited about. The one I'm looking forward to is the child psychology class. That sounds like it's going to be fun~ Let's hope the professor isn't a total jerk. I've had enough of those jerk professors x.x I'm also continuing my japanese classes! :3 Though I'm a bit nervous about that since my professor told us to study our katakana and some kanji over the break and my japanese textbooks sort of has spiderwebs all over the pages... >.> B-But I did play Okami and Persona 4 and I was able to read some of the symbols and words scattered around the game, so that sort of counts for something, right? D: RIGHT?

So now that I'm done rambling reporting, I'm off to play more Dissidia! >w< CHAAAAAAAAAARGE!
